Despedida Dinner for Janine @ Pho Hoa

DSC06160

One of my best friends, Janine, left for Taiwan a few hours ago. We had our last dinner [this year 2011] together at Pho Hoa, Robinsons Otis last Friday. It was a school night [for UST-COM students like me] but I didn’t mind at all. I got home from school at around 7:20PM. It took me roughly 10 minutes to get ready. I didn’t feel like dressing up so I donned a plain white shirt, my skinny jeans, and black flats. I looked really plain but felt really comfortable.

I’ve never been inside Robinsons Otis before. It was my first time to set foot in it, and I have to say, it might just be my #2 favorite next to SM City Manila. Otis is so roomy. Not much people. Felt like home. I just got that vibe from there. Not to mention it has a Japan Home Center branch!

I caught up with my friends Janine, Ady, Sarah, Kenny, Al, and Raphael @ SuZhou where they ordered Xiao Long Bao (yum) but we had dinner @ Pho Hoa. Viet all the way baby!

This area we were seated right here is the only area that was “inside”—all the rest of the tables were already outside. I told you Otis wasn’t that big. Which makes it special because of its cozy atmosphere.DSC06162It’s not my first time to dine it @ Pho Hoa because I’m a huge fan of it! Picking what to eat wasn’t too difficult. Here’s a quick roll of the menu, in case you want to browse through:DSC06163DSC06166DSC06167DSC06168DSC06169DSC06170DSC06171DSC06172DSC06173DSC06174DSC06175DSC06176I ordered a small sized Pho Ga. It’s basically Chicken Noodle Soup. You can never go wrong with Chicken Noodle Soup. Sarah had the same! She told me she wanted it because it has “pugo” (quail egg) DSC06182DSC06183Now who would not recognize this baby? Sriracha all the way! Benji (Judy’s husband) loves this! I swear one drop makes me go on fire!DSC06185I am a lucky girl for having these beautiful people in my life. We’ve known each other since 5th grade. We treat each other like sisters! DSC06189And yes, we have boys in the circle as well! They’re the brothers I never had.DSC06208We used the lemon slices for our water.DSC06245DSC06247Here’s my Pho Ga. Smelled really wonderful!DSC06250What dinner looked like… Yummies in our tummies! DSC06252Have a safe trip, Janine!!! We’ll see you this January! I love you!DSC06246DSC06254

  1. Say, you look less chinese-y than all of them. In fact, you look like a pretty doll.
