May 29, 2011 (Sunday) We are still on Sunday, my dear readers! Upon getting home from the mall, I felt extremely sleepy. I wanted to do my workout already since I’ll be out for dinner in about 3 hours, but I couldn’t help but sleep. I promised I’d wake up at 4:30 to do my hair and makeup. But I woke up at 5:00PM to my horror! Good thing Amici was like 25 minutes away from where I lived. On the way to Amici, we passed by this beautiful looking house. I thought to myself, “What a beautiful place to live in!” And then towards the end, I read this in big cursive letters: “ARLINGTON”—the fuck. I forgot we were along the street where funeral homes stood. Damn. How mindlessly stupid of me!Anyway I got to Amici late, obviously. They were already eating! I gave Ady the box of brownies that I bought for her earlier (didn’t get to take a photo of it, though) Her whole family was there. Auntie, uncle, her ahia and shobe who looked soooo grown-up already!
It was great to have dinner with my longtime friends again! The last time we were all together was during our milk tea session at Chatime in Banawe. Clearly, I wasn’t able to take decent shots of the food we ate because I was late—and I don’t think it was a good idea to make everyone wait for me to take photos of the food first before letting them eat! I had this delicious slice of pizza, servings of the reaaaaally yummy and overly cheesy lasagna, spicy pasta and clams. I was stuffed! And by stuffed I mean filled up just fine. Everything tasted muy bien bien bien…For dessert we had gelato from Caramia! I had Cookies and Cream and it tasted really good. This is my second gelato serving for today. The first one was from Caffe Ti Amo this morning! Eeek. Good thing I workout 5-6 times a week.Caramia has tons of delicious looking cakes! If I’m not mistaken, they also have gelato-cakes. Ahhhh! It’s Bon Appetit for everyone!
Here are some of the photos I captured during the dinner…We had a great time catching up and it’s just too great that even after almost, what, 6? 7? 8 years, we’re all still good friends!
Sarah had to leave early, so I asked the waiter to take a photo of us—just look at all the blur!!! He did take a second shot, but it’s still all blurry! What the heck. This is a clear reminder for myself to TAKE MY TRIPOD WITH ME WHENEVER I EAT OUT WITH FRIENDS. The three-legged biatch is much more reliable than a waiter with shaky hands. To my dearest Ady, happy happy birthday!!! You deserve all the good things in this world. I’m always gonna be here for you! I love you forever!
