Lunch @ Savory + Gelato for Dessert

June 5, 2011 (Sunday) Usual Sunday routine! Mass at 10AM at Saint Jude+Brunch+Dessert. We agreed on eating at Savory. This place absolutely doesn’t get old and obsolete! We ordered the usual dishes we always have when we dine in there. There’s the Savory Pancit Canton, the Yangchow Fried Rice, the famous Savory Chicken, and of course the four seasons drink!

IMG_1190-horzThe Pancit Canton tasted absolutely saucy and tasty—my favorite pieces would have to be the sliced fish balls, and the noodles+sauce!

The Yangchow Fried Rice is and will always be the best—I had about 4 tbsp of rice. Come on, I workout like hell so it wouldn’t hurt to eat rice once in a while.

The Savory Chicken is reaaaaally great—my favorite part is the thigh/leg. Don’t give me wings, because I don’t see any meat in the wings—unless the chicken who died was really fat!!!

Four Seasons Drink. THERE IS ONE THING YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER: DO NOT SIP THROUGH THE RED STRAWS! They are dirty inside!!! My sisters and I have developed this obsessive habit of checking/peeping inside the straws before sipping through them. Do you do that? If no, then you better start thinking about it. You don’t wanna ingest yucky yuckies, do you?

We did a little strolling before finally heading for some last minute refreshments/desserts. I initially wanted milk tea. And there was only one milk tea place in SM Manila. It’s Happy Fanshu located inside the Supermarket. We went there, and we were greeted by a person-less booth. The girl went on a break. Well that’s 65.00 loss for them.

Where else would I run to but Caffe Ti Amo? I had my usual Regolare Gelato Cup with Dulce de Leche and Chocolate gelato. Dulce de Leche reminded me of the ice cream that we had during the Neutrogena press launch. It tasted really yummy. And for the chocolate? I don’t think there’s a need to expound why chocolate will always taste the best.IMG_1200-horzWell that’s another Sunday for us! See you in the next!

Arrivederci!

Surprise Birthday Dinner @ Amici with Long Time Friends ♥

May 29, 2011 (Sunday) We are still on Sunday, my dear readers! Upon getting home from the mall, I felt extremely sleepy. I wanted to do my workout already since I’ll be out for dinner in about 3 hours, but I couldn’t help but sleep. I promised I’d wake up at 4:30 to do my hair and makeup. But I woke up at 5:00PM to my horror! Good thing Amici was like 25 minutes away from where I lived. On the way to Amici, we passed by this beautiful looking house. I thought to myself, “What a beautiful place to live in!” And then towards the end,  I read this in big cursive letters: “ARLINGTON”—the fuck. I forgot we were along the street where funeral homes stood. Damn. How mindlessly stupid of me!IMG_0909Anyway I got to Amici late, obviously. They were already eating! I gave Ady the box of brownies that I bought for her earlier (didn’t get to take a photo of it, though) Her whole family was there. Auntie, uncle, her ahia and shobe who looked soooo grown-up already!
It was great to have dinner with my longtime friends again! The last time we were all together was during our milk tea session at Chatime in Banawe. Clearly, I wasn’t able to take decent shots of the food we ate because I was late—and I don’t think it was a good idea to make everyone wait for me to take photos of the food first before letting them eat! IMG_0902-horzI had this delicious slice of pizza, servings of the reaaaaally yummy and overly cheesy lasagna, spicy pasta and clams. I was stuffed! And by stuffed I mean filled up just fine. Everything tasted muy bien bien bien…IMG_0916-horzFor dessert we had gelato from Caramia! I had Cookies and Cream and it tasted really good. This is my second gelato serving for today. The first one was from Caffe Ti Amo this morning! Eeek. Good thing I workout 5-6 times a week.DSC01985DSC01980-horzCaramia has tons of delicious looking cakes! If I’m not mistaken, they also have gelato-cakes. Ahhhh! It’s Bon Appetit for everyone!
Here are some of the photos I captured during the dinner…IMG_0928-horzIMG_0935-horzWe had a great time catching up and it’s just too great that even after almost, what, 6? 7? 8 years, we’re all still good friends!
Sarah had to leave early, so I asked the waiter to take a photo of us—just look at all the blur!!! He did take a second shot, but it’s still all blurry! What the heck. This is a clear reminder for myself to TAKE MY TRIPOD WITH ME WHENEVER I EAT OUT WITH FRIENDS. The three-legged biatch is much more reliable than a waiter with shaky hands. DSC01974DSC01975To my dearest Ady, happy happy birthday!!! You deserve all the good things in this world. I’m always gonna be here for you! I love you forever!
Arrivederci!

Fast Five, Vin Diesel, Shakey’s, Gelato

May 19, 2011  Today I went to the movies with my good friend Lareina. We watched the 11:00AM showing of Fast Five—and I have four words for it: “Vin Diesel is hot.” I can’t stop thinking about him! His voice is too sexy to forget. April told me how “too muscly” Vin is in the movie—but I think that’s what makes him so hot! Plus, he’s bald! I find bald men attractive nowadays... Is bald even the right word? Should I say “skin head” instead? Ahhh…whatever the term is—some men with no hair are hot. Dwayne was too muscly as well, but I didn’t find him hot. It’s just Vin, really. The girls were freaking hot, too!
My conscience killed  me for having popcorn and iced tea for breakfast.  Didn’t have the chance to have oatmeal before leaving the house because I was running late! Lar and I agreed on meeting at exactly 10:15AM. But I left home at 10:35. Good thing she was kinda  late, too! DSC01729This particular happening is not even worth mentioning, but this guy who was seated beside Lar freaking touched himself towards the end of the movie! We were mortified! Well, we didn’t see it, but we could tell he was at it! Like freaking hell no… We were about to stand up and sit someplace else. But after like, 5 minutes the freaking weirdo stood up and walked away… Lar was like at the far left of her seat trying to get as far away from the weirdo as possible. I was totally going to call the usher already. WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM! Was it the movie? Fast Five? Really? Come on. DSC01733After the movie, we went to have late lunch @ Shakey’s. We cam-whored while waiting for the food and while eating, too. (Taken using my laptop’s webcam, so pardon the quality)111111-vertThis photo is soooo funny since we didn’t notice the waiter back there. And will you just look at my expression?! I wonder what the waiter was thinking… Hahahaha!2011-05-19 14-11-59I forgot the name of the meal that I ordered, but it had a piece of chicken, salad, mojos and a slice of pizza. Tasted fine, but nothing too extraordinary. I didn’t feel full full after eating, which is actually good. The chicken was okay, the mojos were okay, the salad was yummy considering the dressing was mmmmm…and the pizza was good! I think this whole meal cost PHP132.00 only. DSC01753DSC01747

DSC01742DSC01745After having lunch, we went to Caffe Ti Amo for gelato. I ordered Chocolate and Vanilla (left). Lar enjoyed her Tiramisu and Blueberry Cheesecake (right). DSC01760DSC01761Catching up with Lar was totally fun. We never really fail to meet once in a while! I’ve known her for almost 9 years now; she’s been my partner in our volleyball team for sooooo long! Almost like a sister, too!
She had to leave for a training at around 4PM. Our last stop was @ The French Baker—bought home some Pain Au Chocolat for my sister Iza.
By the way I just got my new mobile number! Will be posting (for clients) it soon.
Arrivederci!

Gelato and Waffles, Booben, Player HateHer, Nutella

May 11, 2011 The Afternoon in the Cafe
I was ready to head out by 9:10AM but I went back to lie down on the bed since my sister was still sleeping so I continued watching Julie and Julia on Blue Ray. True enough, I fell fast asleep after a few minutes—felt kind of sleepy, you know. Woke up at 11:30AM, just in time for me and my sister to head to the mall.
First thing I did was buy the gel soles. Spent PHP 374.50 all in all—it’s an allowable purchase anyway. I’m going to need it tomorrow till Saturday. After that quick stop @ Watsons, I headed to Caffe Ti Amo to start all my work online.
I published four entries one after the other for my personal blog, put up one review in my YouTube channel, and blogged about two reviews in my beauty blog; I was also able to publish the entry for AllAunthenticItems in our online store. I could’ve done more, but the connection seems to have gone haywire—and YouTube went whacko. Audio and video wasn’t matching in my second review upload. It was 100% and already viewable, but I just had to delete since who the fuck would want to watch a video that seems to be kind of a pirated DVD from Quiapo?
It was lovely being able to chat with April, and Joanne—you know the usual updating. I’m soooo excited for April’s arrival this July. Soooo excited. Pearl (of Dollface Cosmetics) and I have also already set up a date for dinner when she comes to Manila; Ralph will be there, as well—so that’s another thing to look forward to! Booben was also online—well thank goodness he was. I always get a good laugh because of him. Was telling him about this dude sitting on the table across mine, how he looked hot on the side, but not up front and how he looks gay and whatever. Hahaha. You should’ve seen Booben roll his eyes. This guy is totally funny. Actually, the first thing he told me when we chatted was, “I was reading your blog…=p” Hahaha! Well, it’s cool to have readers—like people are actually interested in my personal life. He said he’d actually read this blog instead of my beauty blog. Well of course, he’s a guy with 0% interest in makeup. Just airplanes. We’d hopefully be meeting, too this year! I’m actually scheduled to meet a lot of people this year. Angie is coming to town in June—and I am sooooo excited to see her. I won’t make any formal introduction on who these people I’m talking about are because they deserve a full entry, you know? An entry just for them alone.
What I had in Caffe Ti Amo: Caramelized Fig and Yogurt Flavored Yogurt- “caramelized fig” sounded totally weird to me, but this totally tasted so freaking yummy. DSC01217Four Cheese Savory Waffle- imagine, a waffle for one, filled with cheese. Mmmm….mm! That’s butter on the side.DSC01218DSC01219I stayed in Caffe Ti Amo for 4 freaking hours, and I had to order another waffle just to extend my stay a little longer…so I ordered another Four Cheese Savory Waffle. Pfoe* like Booben says it, never really understood what it meant but I’m pretty sure it’s something like “Hoo boy!” or something.
Had to walk out of the cafĂ© to walk around, Booben came along; and the second review was still uploading so I couldn’t close the lid of the laptop. But the internet got cut when I got in the supermarket, so I went to McDonald’s to have a freaking burger just to resume everything.
Well Youtube stopped working alright, and I was there eating a burger in front of my laptop. That was the first time I ever felt so conscious eating a burger. Ruub even told me how slow I was at eating it. I bet he can eat it all in 5 seconds. Hahaha and I bet he’ll be reading this as well! Hi Ruub! You told me how you can handle being blogged about, so there you go.
Since it was almost 5:00PM, I wanted to go home. The mall was too packed to enjoy walking in… Too many nosy people, too. Yeah, nosy and noisy.
When I got home, I watched Glee and The Tyra Banks Show! Tyra had an interesting topic! It’s about friends hating on each other. There’s actually a book about it, and these women are called PLAYER HATEHERS. Get it? Hate-her’s. Hahah it was too enjoyable to watch. Made me remember about a few stuff.playerhateher3Are YOU a player hateher? Find out in here.
Took a nap again and I woke up at around 8PM.
Nutella on bread is the most evil thing in the world. I seriously think I have a bad case of indigestion…as I am writing this it is 9:23PM. My tummy is aching sooo sooo bad. Must be the gelato, the waffles, the burger…and Nutella on bread. Pfoe*! Hahahaha.
I am drinking hot milk right now. But the pain’s not going away…
I just checked my planner, and all my eating is explainable. I’m on my PMS week! This is why I frigging hate being a woman sometimes. Good thing I always workout every single day…makes it more forgivable for me to snack on junk—but not too much of course.
I’m not saying I’m fat, (and be flipped off by Ruub, again, for saying so) but somehow, when you’ve experienced being 170 pounds—somehow it never gets off of you, you know? I don’t know, maybe it’s just the way it is. I’ve shed all the excess weight already, but I still feel fat. It’s a feeling!
So… I have to go workout now. Almost 9:30PM. And work starts tomorrow! I’ll be doing my hair tonight ‘coz there is absolutely no way I’ll be able to finish doing it tomorrow morning. It has to be done tonight.
I hope I meet wonderful people tomorrow at the first day of the IFEX. And I’m praying my feet holds up.
Arrivederci!
